procedure:

EPOFIX PLUS E2054

Application as an Adhesive:
At low temperatures, the fluidity of the material decreases. Therefore, place the materials at an ambient temperature of 23±3°C for one day before use. Ensure that all preparation and mixing tools are dry and free of moisture. The substrate must be dry, with a moisture content not exceeding 5%. The base must be solid, free of oil and grease, and sufficiently dry. Cementitious substrates must be properly cured. For uneven or weak surfaces, use repair mortars and self-leveling materials to achieve a stable and smooth surface.

Before starting the work, wear protective gloves, goggles, or a mask. First, empty the lower bucket containing Components B and C. Then, pour Component A separately into a clean bucket, add Component B, and mix at low speed until a uniform blend is achieved. At this stage, add Component C to the mixture of Components A and B, which you have already prepared in the bucket. Mix with a slow-speed mixer until a completely homogeneous and uniform blend is obtained.

Spread the mixture using a notched trowel appropriate to the tile size. For better adhesion, first apply a thin layer of the material with the smooth side of the trowel, then use the notched side for spreading. Press the tiles firmly into the adhesive. The prepared adhesive remains usable for 60 minutes. Any mixture exceeding this time must be discarded. After tile installation, avoid walking on the surface for 24 hours. Wash tools immediately with plenty of water. Once the material hardens, it can only be removed with mechanical tools.

Application as a Joint Filler:
The joints must be clean and free of dust, with a depth of at least 2/3 of the tile thickness. Pour the joint filler onto the tiles and spread it using a rubber trowel, guiding it diagonally into the joints to fully fill them. Remove any excess mortar using the edge of the rubber trowel with gentle diagonal movements, ensuring not to pull material out of the joints.

After 15 minutes, gently clean the tile surface using a damp sponge soaked in water and soap, making light circular motions. If the water or sponge becomes dirty, rinse the sponge and replace the water before continuing. Continue cleaning until all excess material is removed without emptying the joints.

safety:

  • Ensure proper ventilation during application.
  • Wear protective gloves, goggles, and a mask.
  • In case of skin or eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
  • Refer to the safety data sheet for more information.
  • Do not mix the product with water or solvents.
  • Not suitable for porous tiles and stones, as epoxy resin may alter the color.
  • Clean excess material immediately; once hardened, removal is only possible using mechanical tools.
